What hair colors go with dark brown hair?
My dark brown hair looks almost black
I have brown eyes and midtone light skin
I'm asian but i dont have those ';asian eyes';.

im thinking like a violet/plum streaks on my bottom layers?!

Temporary hair color

Go to a beauty supply, on the colors there they have the base colors written down on the bottles. I think your hair keeps coming out brassy because everyone has red tones in their hair,some times that happens even when you don't use a color that has red in the base. I really think you should go to a professional and have it dyed back though. Good luck. P.s. Most L'Oreal hair products will tell you on the bottle what kind of base it has. You want to pick one that has a neutral base vs. red, gold, or blue. I have natural red tones in my hair. Even when I use ash blonde shades it will still come out orange. The last one I tried had a neutral base and it came out perfect! L'Oreal is really good at providing a beleivable blonde color too!

When in doubt, go pro. I agree (and know for a fact from my schooling) that ';ash'; is opposite of red-but if you're not careful, you could end up with something you hate.
Try looking for a local cosmetology school, and you can have your hair done for a lot less money, and it's supervised, so there won't be any mistakes.

Will some places not hire you if you have crazy hair colors?
I love streaking my hair different colors (purple, pink, blue, for ones I've already done) because I'm, well, different. (Plus a tad bit eccentric). Well, I was just wondering, will places like Taco Bell or Starbucks hire you if you wear crazy colors sometimes? (oh yeah, I'm a teen).Will some places not hire you if you have crazy hair colors?
Well I'm not sure that Taco Bell or other fast food places would really care, seeing as how you might just end up wearing a sanitary hat if you work in the kitchen.
But speaking from experience, YES I've seen a lot of workplaces that didn't want to hire me because of crazy hair-streaks and colours!
It's because some older, more mature people come in and they look down upon 'young folks' i guess haha, and it basically hurts their business, know what I mean?
Not that I cared at the time but yes, if you're really after a specific job where you'll be greeting a lot of people, you might want to lay off the excessive color for a bit.Will some places not hire you if you have crazy hair colors?
I don't think it would make too much of a difference at taco bell lol because i've seen pretty crazy people there and i don't think clothes thing would be an issue there because they have purple uniforms and stuff for you to wear

I used to use Loreal Professional permanent dye in the brightest red I could find (can't remember the name now) and use Manic Panic Fire Engine Red over it.

i may not be any specalist, but my mom is...you NEVER go anymore than 2 shades darker than ur natural color, it will almost always look gaudy

Most of the pictures are going to be slightly out of date due to fact that the type of hair color you are describing is dated now. Hair color is a bit softer now, not as separate. If you're really into that look however may I suggest doing in a blond color story only- not a brown on the bottom. You can have a really nice pale blond on the top and go to a dark blond under. Well I have seen many people doing what was popular in the 60's and 70's but if it does not flatter you then why do it. Classic always stays in style and looking good does. I have tried it all as a cosmetologist from extremes to very long hair. I prefer ease of care along with what looks best on me. I look best in a longer layered shag type cut that came into style in the 70's there abouts. Some very modern new hennas actually tend to enhance the condition of longer hair which is what my sister who has hair down to her waist and is a nurse has done but with Henna one cannot do a perm until it wears off or is removed which can be very harsh on the hair. My suggestion is that you try out the programs that are not so expensive to buy now that are computerized programs that allow you to change your hair on a photo of yourself such that you can see what you like and show other people. If you have very long hair my suggestion is that you take it off slowly so you do not have a shock reaction to the loss. Often if you want to keep the length there are ways you can put it up that will help it look better along with a trim on the bottom will help take away the dryness.What is the latest hair cut styles and hair colors for medium to long length hair??

i would try sideswept bangs and choppy layers it'll accent your cheekbones very nicely, and as winter is comming in a darker color is definatly something you want to think about, but be sure that if you dye your hair dark to not forget the eybrows, you want it to look natural, not like you did it at home, even though u probably will ;-P

Well I have seen many people doing what was popular in the 60's and 70's but if it does not flatter you then why do it. Classic always stays in style and looking good does. yeah you could google it and a ton of options will come up. Some of these free websites may require free registration so if you aren't into that then watch out for it. I do know that seventeen magazine online has what you need with celebrity hairstyles and a lot of options.

First and foremost, look to see whether the box or the name say anything about ashy effect. I hate that ashy and green shade too. If you want an even color, try Excellence by Loreal. Some evidence suggests that men might be responsible for this common stereotype, according to a study conducted by the British Psychological Society in which 60 male participants and 60 female participants were asked to look at pictures of a female model wearing different colored wigs. Everyone know the generals like green looks great on readheads but if you really want to get down into the detail, just go to your local library or bookstore. There are books (I can't remember specific titles) that categorise you into four different types: Summer, Spring, Autumn or Winter.
It will show you what each category means and what colors you should avoid, what colors are OK, and what colors look amazing on you.

My hair type is thin and I wash it every two days, so it is never oily.
My length is mid length and I am growing it longer.
I am dying it a brown, golden.
I also have a red dye, which I was going to use for tips and I also have a blonde tip kit.
Do you have any suggestions, on a good way to get three colors in my hair, brown being the base color.

The brown golden color sounds really really pretty but the 'red on the tips' seems trashy to me (no offense to anyone out there) unless its not clown hair red and like a soft auburn or something.
You could blend the red into highlights into the hair which would look more natural.
P.S. If your growing your hair out then you dont want to color your hair as that will slow it down.Do you think these hair colors will work?

I'm getting my hair done wed and I have no idea what to get. I have strawberry blonde hair and i had put a reddish brown undernearth and then on top i had that same color low lights and some bleach blonde highlights. You'll look orange if you dye your hair blonde. You should dye it like a golden dirty blonde, it'll look really good. That's the hair I have, and I'm italian, so I get really tan. I think darker colors look better with tan skin. But, that's just my opinion.
If you're thinking of a red tone how about a burgundy? It has a nice darker red tone to it. Or you can find a make over site online and upload a picture and try on different shades that you like. Clairol.com used to have this, just go on the site and play around with the options I remember using it back in 2003. I have Olive Skin and I've had light brown, medium brown, highlited, and Burgundy hair and I've received compliments on all of them! Hope I helped,xoxo!

You'll look orange if you dye your hair blonde. You should dye it like a golden dirty blonde, it'll look really good. That's the hair I have, and I'm italian, so I get really tan. I think darker colors look better with tan skin. But, that's just my opinion.
If you're thinking of a red tone how about a burgundy? It has a nice darker red tone to it. Or you can find a make over site online and upload a picture and try on different shades that you like. Clairol.com used to have this, just go on the site and play around with the options I remember using it back in 2003. I have Olive Skin and I've had light brown, medium brown, highlited, and Burgundy hair and I've received compliments on all of them! Hope I helped,xoxo!

What hair colors bring out blue eyes and pale skin?
I really need help on this. I have dark brown hair, about a 5, but I want something different. I've been gettin highlights, but want all-over color instead. What color will really bring out my blue eyes and pale skin? I'm 15 btw.What hair colors bring out blue eyes and pale skin?

it's a ridiculously beautiful color and it makes blue eyes really POP out.
I dyed my hair dark so my blue eyes could stand out more,
becuase people aren't really used to seeing people with black hair have blue eyes, you usually think blondes with eyes of blue.

I would suggest that you try a nice auburn, or another reddish hue. Unlike your current, dark hair color, red tones won't be a dark contrast to your light skin, which would make your skin seem even more pale. Also, the blue in your eyes will be brought out by the striking red.
not blonde. Trust me. I have blue eyes a pale skin and i died my hair blonde and it looked terrible. I know this isnt a big difference but go for a lighter brown. That what i have and everyone had told me they love it and i love it to. It wayy better than before.

Maybe blonde hair, but dark brown hair with blue eyes is acually hot. But, i would say black hair with blue eyes looks really nice :).

your hair isnt the answer. dark kair makes blue or green eyes pop on its own. if you want more pop change they way you do your makeup.

Why is that when people compare different hair colors, they always leave out black hair?
I often see people compare blondes vs. brunettes vs. redheads, what about black hair? I don't know what you call people with black hair and yes, Caucasions can have dark black hair, too, not just Asians. What do you categorize black hair under? (i.e. girl with brown hair is called brunette, blond hair is called blonde, ect...)

Sometimes I dye my hair black because it looks close to my natural color, but my hair is very dark golden brown. That's almost black, but with minimal highlights.

You can still have a deep red shade or even a dark violet shade in dark brown hair but in black hair the only shade you can see is blue.

Yes it is possible. My hair for example is all of those colors. it doesnt look like it from afar, but if you come up to my hair and take some strands you will find brown blonde, red black, light brown, gold, clear...I mean so many people admire my hair and I always want to dye it lol. There is a condition called Heterochromia which can result in an individual having multicoloured hair (and even eyes!). I would say it's theoretically possible, but I've never heard of a case involving more than a couple of distinctive hair colourings. (Black %26amp; Red in heterochromic people of middle-eastern descent, for example.)
Incidentally there are two types (three subtypes) of pigment that give hair its color: Eumelanin %26amp; Pheomelanin. Eumelanin is black and brown while Pheomelanin is red. The dominance of these individual types is what decides our hair colour (or lack of it, if they are weak). It would be quite an achievement for somebody to manage what you're suggesting given the science involved. =D
