Everything I've found in hair color is temporary/semi-permanent... how can I get my hair RED red, like crayon red, permanent? Are there any hair colors that are fire engine red and permanent?
Red is almost impossible to keep radiant. It is the quickest fading color and stylists always struggle to keep their clients' red tresses looking fresh. You best option, in my opinion, is to bleach hair to platinum and continuously use ManicPanic in Red Passion (probably 2 or 3 times weekly), stay out of the sun, and only wash your hair when absolutely necessary. Some color companies make permanent red ';kickers'; but they don't have enough depth to give a true brilliant red color and look like weak koolaid after processed on white hair. Are there any hair colors that are fire engine red and permanent?
Nope- It will fade- I struggled to keep my hair fire engine red all though high school- and had to redo it constantly. The thing I found is that after a while the color will stay longer. The first few times it will fade out quickly- after a half a dozen times or so it will start to last longer and won't fade so badly. However to keep it bright you will still have to touch it up pretty often.
I used to use Loreal Professional permanent dye in the brightest red I could find (can't remember the name now) and use Manic Panic Fire Engine Red over it.
YOu can find Manic Panic. It is in most spencers. It will last about 3 weeks. That is as much as you can expect from something that color.
why that's really weird unless you are only doing the tips
maybe if you go to a salon they and ask them they should know how to
